Oakley Caskey Jr., 55, of Burlington, died Sunday, July 14, 2019, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born March 3, 1964, in Davenport, IA, he was the son of Oakley Caskey and Sharon Guinard.
He enjoyed fishing, taking things apart to fix and put back together, spending time with his family and playing with his grandson. He was very smart and could hold conversations well on just about anything.
Survivors include his daughter, Casondra (Kawan Ervin) Hoon of Clinton; son, Anthony Caskey of Burlington; two step-sons, Bobby Young and Robert Pierce both of Burlington ; two step-daughters, Bridget Young and Amanda Young both of Burlington; grandson who he adopted, Mason Hoon of Burlington, seventeen grandchildren, Kaylee, Jacob, Preston & Trenton, Caleb, Mason, Ethan, Rowyn, Jocelyn, Gracie, Quincee, Joshua, Dylan, Mason, Noah, Miley and Madison; three brothers, John (Stephanie), Joe and Jeff; four sisters, Dorothy Caskey, Mary (Richard), Brenda and Katie (Bud); and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father, two uncles, Jake and George, granddaughter, Aniah Vel-Hoon, and the mother of his children, Cindy Hoon.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.
The celebration of life for Mr. Caskey will be held in Davenport at a later date.
