T.K. "King" Ford

November 5, 1951 ~ December 20, 2018 (age 67)

T.K. "King" Ford, 67, of Burlington, died from complications of pneumonia at 6:43 PM Thursday, December 20, 2018, at the Great River Hospice House in West Burlington.

Born November 5, 1951, in Grand Forks, ND, he was the son of Truxton King "T.K." and Ruth Mitchell Ford.  

He held many jobs over the years including being a computer tech, clam diver in the Mississippi River, mechanic and long-distance truck driver. T.K. spent most of his life in Iowa City. 

He graduated from Burlington High School in 1969. He graduated with his bachelor's degree from the University of Iowa.

He was an accomplished guitarist and member of bands including "TKO and The Rollers". He loved computers, music of all kinds (his favorite being rock) and was an accomplished water skier, with his best event being the slalom. 

Survivors include father, Truxton King "T.K." Ford of Burlington, sisters: Jan (Les) Edwards of Lincoln, NE, Merry (James) Wiseman of Burlington; brother, Daniel (LuAnn) Ford of Wellman, IA; ten nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother. 

Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh~Thielen Crematory.

There will be no visitation or services at his request.
