Beth Anne Cary, 55, of Burlington, died at 1:58 am Saturday, May 9, 2020, at the Great River Medical Center in West Burlington.
Born December 11, 1964, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Jesse and Gladys Patton Snakenberg. She was married to Jack Helmick for several years and they had two children together. They later divorced. On May 4, 1996, she married Rod Cary in West Burlington United Methodist Church. He later passed on January 28, 2011.
She was a dedicated mother and homemaker, and spent some time working at Hope Haven.
She was a member of West Burlington United Methodist Church. Beth had a fiesty personality. She liked to get dressed up and go out dancing. She liked everything related to Christmas, especially the music. She loved her puppies, but most of all, she loved her grandkids above all else.
Survivors include daughter, Jackie Bernand of Burlington; son, Josh (Jenny) Helmick of Danville, IA; 6 grandkids, Shelby, Madison, Britnie, Ethan, Bethannie, and Harlan; two brothers, Charlie (Chris) Snakenberg of Danville, IA; David Snakenberg of Burlington, two sisters, Rexetta Spiker of Stronghurst, IL, Dianna Quinn of Burlington; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Connie, Ronnie and Linda, and one brother-in-law, Jim.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The memorial visitation for Mrs. Cary will be Tuesday, May 19, 2020 from noon to 7:00 PM with family to receive friends from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established.
