Denise Hatt, 67, of Burlington, died at 11:34 am Monday, October 5, 2020, at her home.
Born December 20, 1952, in Burlington, she was the daughter of Harry Dale and Dorothy Manley Hatt.
Denise was a very generous person. Although she never had much, she was always willing to help and give to those who needed it. She loved when the kids would visit, telling them stories of her life back in the day, especially when she could tell stories about her dad. She was stubborn at times, but most of all she was a caring, loving, and doting mother and grandmother, who simply couldn't say "I love you" enough.
Survivors include two daughters, Mindy Rae Mahon of Davenport, IA, and Amy Tovar of Kansas City, MO; her grandkids, Samuel (Olivia), Jonah, Luke, Brent, Abe, Gretchen, and Hattie; one brother, Skip; one sister-in-law, Ann Hatt; several nieces and nephews, and her good friend and caretaker Jessica.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and three siblings, Judy, Michael and Christopher.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
Per Denise's wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for the Iowa Chapter of the American Parkinson Disease Association.
