Jeffrey Fred Chalupa, 59, of West Burlington, died at 6:01 PM Thursday, September 3, 2020, at the Blessing Hospital in Quincy IL.
Born April 11, 1961, in Washington, IA, he was the son of H. Wayne and Dolores Irene Patterson Chalupa. He married Kimberly Coleman. They later divorced. On December 5, 2009, he married Malou Dioso in Burlington.
He was a graduate of Burlington High School.
Jeff worked at many gas stations around the area. He is most known for working at Gas Land on North 8th.
He enjoyed working on cars, fishing, going for drives, spending time with his family, watching his many shows including; horror movies, paranormal investigation shows, Two and A Half Men, CSI, Last Man Standing and That 70's Show.
Survivors include his wife, Malou Chalupa of West Burlington; three sons, Nick Chalupa, Adam (Anika) Chalupa, and TJ Chalupa all of Burlington; two grandchildren, Xander, & Jenna; his father, Wayne (JoAnn) Chalupa; one brother, Joseph Chalupa of Billings, MT; one sister, Connie (Steven) Banko of El Paso, TX; two step-sisters, Stephanie Dawson of Independence, IA, and Tammy Cook of Kishor, MO; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, and one sister, Cindy Chalupa.
To honor Jeff, the family asks everyone to dress causally.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with the family to receive friends Friday, September 11, 2020 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
The funeral service for Mr. Chalupa will be 11:00 AM Friday, September 11, 2020, at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home. Cremation will be entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory following the service.
Due to the growing concerns regarding COVID-19, funeral attendees are strongly encouraged to wear face masks and practice social distancing.
