Mrs. Baker, 89, of Burlington, died at 9:26 AM Thursday, July 16, 2020.
Born December 26, 1930, in Fort Madison, she was the daughter of George Robert and Louise Seaver Breeze. On November 1, 1950, she married Joseph Postal in Fort Madison. He passed November 3, 2003.
Lorean dedicated her life to her family and was a proud wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
She graduated from Fort Madison High School in 1948.
She was a member of Community of Christ Church where she played the organ. Lorean gave countless hours as a volunteer at local schools, Head Start Programs, Red Cross Bloodmobiles and Meals on Wheels. When she wasn't volunteering, she enjoyed traveling with her husband after his retirement.
Survivors include two sons, Joseph Baker, Jr. of Montrose, and Thomas Robert Baker of St. Paul, MN; three daughters, Martha Ann Short of Raiford, FL, Nora Baker (Jerry) Jackson of Burlington, and daughter, Barbara Jean Brosemer of Shepherd, TX; and nine grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, one son, her parents and three siblings.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
There will be no formal visitation or services.
