Myron passed away September 10, 2019 at his home in Vinton, LA. He was born September 11, 1937 In Ft. Madison. He was the adopted son of Charles Paul Hooten and Madeleine Gladys White Hooten.
He attended schools in Ft. Madison and Burlington. He joined the United States Air Force in November of 1956 and was honorably discharged in May of 1960. He was an airplane mechanic serving Travis Air Force Base in Fairfield, CA transferring to Chanute Air Force Base in Rantoul, IL. After he was discharged, he worked construction as a professional dry wall hanger. He was an avid fisherman, he would brag about how he caught a 50lb catfish, who also enjoyed watching sports.
Survivors include a sister-in-law, Leona Brown of Burlington, many nieces, nephews and cousins, very special friend/care taker, Pam Gordon of Vinton, LA and a host of kind, thoughtful, loyal and loving friends in Vinton, LA.
Myron was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Patsy J. Stout of Burlington, a brother, Kenneth L. Brown of Burlington and a nephew, Kenneth.
Respecting his wishes, there will be no visitation or services.
Cremation has been entrusted to Hixson-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home in Vinton, LA.
