Michelle Nicole Dickey, 41, of Burlington, died at 8:04 PM Thursday, October 29, 2020, at the IA Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.
Born March 8, 1979, in Monmouth, IL, she was the daughter of Gary and JoAnn Redmond Dickey.
Michelle worked for Peaches at Comfort Inn and Suites as a banquet manager for over 10 years.
She was a 1997 graduate of West Burlington High School.
Michelle was of Christian faith. She was a dedicated mother to Caleb and loved her family. She enjoyed going out on the river in the summer, mushroom hunting and cooking. She was a gardener with a green thumb cultivating many flowers and plants over the years. She loved to watch cooking shows, and root for the Packers. She was a strong, hardworking woman, who spent 10 plus years planning and setting up meetings for the Lions Club, Kiwanis, and Rotary Club.
Survivors include son, Caleb “Bug” Weir and Caleb's father, Andrew Weir both of Longmont CO; father, Gary Dickey of Princeton, IL; mother, JoAnn Keller of Burlington; four sisters, Melissa (Paul Hand) Armstrong of Burlington, Josie Keller of Burlington, Tara Keller of Burlington, and Erica Burtlow of Cedar Rapids, IA; one brother, Trent Keller of Burlington; grandmother, Helen Redmond of Monmouth, IL; three aunts, Jeanie (Jim) Drish of Burlington, Joni Todd of Monmouth, IL, and Karol Bishop of Monmouth, IL; uncle, Michael Redmond of Rochester, MN; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, maternal grandfather, Andrew's Parents, John and Connie Vaughan and one uncle, Dan "Bogie" Redmond.
Cremation has been entrusted to the care of Prugh Crematory.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday November 3, 2020 at Prugh~Thielen Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established for her son, Caleb.
